Four Motors for Europe

The Four Motors for Europe on the way to Scandinavia

The Four Motors for Europe are currently organising the next joint institutional, technical and economic mission under the Presidency of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region. From the 11th to 14th September 2017, the Four Motors are visiting the Greater Copenhagen area, a metropolitan region that spans Eastern Denmark and Skåne in Southern Sweden. Scandinavia, a cutting-edge area in terms of innovation policies, has been chosen as a destination to meet the need to establish contacts with Northern European regions. Within the same mission, the Four Motors companies, clusters and technical experts will have the possibility to explore two different markets and their technological and economic opportunities in the targeted sectors: cleantech and life sciences.

These sectors correspond to the excellence sectors of the Four Motors Regions. Therefore, our Regions will have the possibility to learn more about the assets of this countries, to promote their know-how and gain a better visibilitywhile meeting Scandinavian qualified companies and stakeholders: indeed, on the same period the largest Nordic partnering conference dedicated to the life science industry (NLSDays) will take place in the heart of the Medicon Valley.

During a two-day mission (12th to 14th September) the cleantech delegation will participate in a seminar dedicated to the presentation of the Cleantech sectors in Scandinavia and the regions of the 4 Motors for Europe followed by a B2B matchmaking session organised in cooperation with Enterprise Europe Network. The 14th September will be dedicated to the visits of emblematic sites around renewable energies and waste management.  Mainly composed by cluster managers, the life science delegation will arrive on the 11th September in Malmö and spend two days in Lund around the Medicon Village. Seminars, site visits and presentations of remarkable health projects will be on the agenda. On the 14th September, the delegation will be in Copenhagen and have an overview of telemedicine and living labs projects.
